With early morning pick-ups from Cairns and Port Douglas, you’ll be among the rainforest as it wakes, with the chance to spot native wildlife and hear the birdsong of the ancient forest. Travel by safari vehicle onto private property before exploring the rainforest on foot and arriving at a pristine freshwater waterfall, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim and a tropical morning tea beside the falls.

This is a truly private Daintree experience, limited to just 10 guests, with knowledgeable local guides sharing their insight into the rainforest, its wildlife and the unique environment around you. The waterfall is a safe place to swim with no crocodiles, and the surrounding freshwater pool is home to turtles and other native wildlife.

Best of all, this is a half-day adventure. After leaving the waterfall late in the morning, you’ll make your way home with a stop at Rex Lookout before returning to your accommodation with the rest of the afternoon free. Start early, make the most of the Daintree while it’s fresh and peaceful, then spend the afternoon relaxing, exploring or enjoying a well-earned afternoon drink.
